Postcards from the Edge

I was poked a while back and thought about updating, even though there isn't that much going on right now, but then tonight happend. Dun dun duuun.
Anyhow, Anton, my baby nephew, is doing quite well. Close to 8 months now and he's trying to stand up. Currently my sister is spending a month in Malaga with him, before it's back to work soonish. Pityu is holding up too, going on nineteen now. I'll hopefully post photos sometime soon, right now I'm a tad too shaky to sort this out.
Just got home, I was in an accident and I have the need to 'talk' about it, but there's barely anyone still awake, so I'll just ramble here.
I was picking my mother up at the airport and on the drive home - she was the one driving - pretty much around the corner of the airport, some guy thought it's a jolly good idea to make a turn without looking. There was no room to change the lane, my mother hit the brakes, but it was too late. Went straight into his side and the next thing I know is the airbag deflating in front of me, smoke everywhere and the horn going.
The car is totaled, we have a few bruises (and the other driver is okay as well), but overall we got away lucky. Will visit my doctor for an exam, just to make sure. But boy, that certainly was an experience I could've done without. My aunt picked us up and brought us home. I had a good ten minutes of being slightly nervous until I settled to just not looking at the traffic.

eumelkeks demanded an update, so here we go. *g*
I missed quite a few birthdays - Cheers! - and that leaves one or two or... more icons to make. Which I have every intention to. Just need to get back into the 100x100px space, because in the last few months it were mostly bigger graphics and working on something that small feels... weird. And half of the time I don't really know what I'm doing like the outcome.
Nothing excitingly new in real life. Work is getting less and less comfortable, will visit friends next weekend, a wedding next month, some Larp planned sometime this year. Had to buy a new TV, went for a bigger one which makes playing on the Xbox somewhat more fun. Fallout New Vegas mostly lately, Silent Hill Downpour (even though it freaks me out), and a bit of Aliens Colonial Marines too, which despite its many deficiencies I enjoy a lot. Mostly due to the fact that I LOVE the second Aliens movie and walking around in familiar places, hearing all those familiar sounds and tripping over Bishop's legs or finding Newt's doll head... yeah. It's nice. *g*

First off, I'm still alive. Obviously. I wanted to write this entry since more than two weeks, but never got those icons done I reeeally wanted to make you for your bdays. Decided today to post anyway or I'd probably not post until August. Or something.

Had a wonderful birthday weekend, odd, stressful days at work. I'm tired all the time, must be the age. You know, being 30...ish. But overall life is just fine. *g*
Pityu is getting older too. I'm cuddling him as often as I can, especially when he bumps into things. He's like a puppy again.

Finished Mass Effect 3. Awesome game, wtf ending, but I won't let that spoil the whole rollercoaster experience. Quite definitely one of the best game series ever. Just saying. *g*
